Quad Fin
A four-fin setup using two pairs of fins to combine the speed and drive of a twin with extra hold, popular for fast, drivey surf-style riding.
A quad fin setup uses four fins arranged as two pairs near the rail. It blends the speed and down-the-line drive of a twin with additional hold from the trailing pair, giving a fast, drivey feel that still releases more readily than a thruster's single center fin.
Quad setups are offered on some surf-style and performance boards for riders chasing speed and projection through turns. Like other multi-fin layouts, fin size and fore-aft placement tune the balance between stability and looseness.
