Surf Tabs
MasterCraft's 2009 wake-shaping device, recognized as the first-ever production wakesurf shaping tab and the predecessor to the Gen 2 Surf System.
Surf Tabs were introduced by MasterCraft in 2009 as the first-ever wake-shaping device for wakesurfing, an innovation that earned the company the NMMA Innovation Award in 2010. The tab redirects water flow at the transom to convert a wakeboarding-style symmetrical wake into a one-sided surf wave.
Surf Tabs established the template that later branded surf systems built upon, and the technology evolved into MasterCraft's Gen 2 Surf System, which paired the shaping device with integrated ballast and unifying software.
