Adjustable plates on the hull that, alongside surf systems, fine-tune the boat's running attitude to dial in wave shape.
Beyond ballast and surf gates, many wake boats use adjustable plates or trim tabs on the hull to fine-tune running attitude and help shape the wave. Adjusting these plates changes how the hull sits and how water releases off the transom, letting the crew tweak the wave's steepness, cleanliness, and pocket length without re-distributing ballast.
These systems work in concert with ballast, surf gate, and speed; dialing all of them together is what produces a long, clean, well-pushing wave.
