Lip slide
Sliding the board 90 degrees across the crest of the wake for at least a second, nose crossing first with the rider facing away from the boat.
A lip slide is the counterpart to the board slide: the rider slides the board sideways across the top of the wake for at least one second, but here the nose of the board crosses over the wake first and the rider faces away from the boat. It hits the wave's crest (lip) and slides along it before the rider redirects back down the face.
Like the board slide, the lip slide is a freestyle staple that rewards precise edge control, and the two are often confused because they differ only by which end of the board leads and which way the rider faces.
